Hawksbill Turtles, along with blacktip reef sharks, are amongst the most treasured encounters for both divers and snorkelers in the waters here around Ko Phi Phi.

Palong Bay South – Phi Phi Ley – AKA Turtle Rock Situated on the easy side of Phi Phi Ley, Palong Bay South is the next bay north of the famous Maya Bay, made famous by the movie “The Beach”. This dive is a relative simple one and is rarely effected by currents. The dive is heads south from Palong Bay towards Maya Bay.

Relatively rare sightings around Phuket. Green turtles can be spotted at Kata Beach and begging for bananas at the back of Similan Island liveaboards. They're named green turtles not because their environmentally friendly sentiments but due to their green fat and cartilage.
